​Beloved, sound biblical preaching can be summed up in two Greek words, kerusso and didache. Kerusso means to preach, to proclaim and didache means to teach. Kerusso is the proclamation while didache is the doctrine behind the proclamation.
But why is preaching so essential to the church today? Romans 10:14-15 says, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
Beloved, we are called to be both hearers and heralds of the Gospel! If you took all the unsaved people and lined them up next to each other, you would form a line that would go around the earth 30 times; and because of the birthrate the line is growing 20 miles every day. People need to hear about Jesus. Are you willing to tell them?
