Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14Let all that you do be done in love.” ESVBeloved, next week, October 16th-18 the men from four different Calvary Chapels around San Antonio will join together for its “Man Up” Men’s Retreat. Our theme is taken from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 which has been and is being used by different men’s and women’s groups throughout our Country.Beloved, as I write this week’s devotion my heart is breaking for men and their families. It is breaking because the men have not “Manned Up,” for their families. It is my prayer (and I am asking for your prayers) that the Lord would use this Men’s retreat to stir up a fire in the hearts of men. Here are some ways you can PRAY! Please pray for the different pastor’s and elders who will be sharing from God’s Word. Pray that the Lord would have a Word for every man. Pray that the hearts of the men would be ready to receive His Word, take it and implement it into their daily lives! Also, please pray for humble hearts ready to serve one another. Pray that the man of the house would indeed be the MAN of the house. Pray that men would become the spiritual leaders of each household. We covet your prayers!Beloved, when men act like men, when they lead and serve sacrificially, like Jesus Christ did for us, families are changed, lives are changed, and communities are changed. So, “be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14Let all that you do be done in love.” ESV.I pray that you will have a blessed week! I love you and I will be praying for you! In His Love-Pastor Joe

Waking up to this and your banner today and realising the call to action for us Men in our society. I realise the more I sit back in my comfort zone, the more I realise that we have to do something about it.

I am sharing your message your poster among men in my community to MAN UP and really realise what God called them to. I looked for a message and this is what I found and amazingly I had also chosen the theme from 1 Cor 16:13.

Grateful to God for we are called for a time and a season. Thank you for sharing this. I will keep sharing too.

Yours in Service

Michael

Beloved, we are soon to once again celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the human Son of man and the divine Son of God. He is one hundred percent human and one hundred percent God.

While there were many people instrumental in the birth of Christ, this morning we will look at His birth through the eyes of Joseph, His legal father. There is not too much known about the man who would care for Christ as He grew up. We know that Joseph was possibly a carpenter but most importantly we know that he was a righteous man who did the right thing.

When others would have ran away from a responsibility that was not even their own, Joseph stood steadfast and remained faithful to the end. We can learn much from his character and apply his attributes of faithfulness, purity, and perseverance to our own lives.

May you have a Blessed Christmas week and may Christ always be at the center of your lives!

P.S. Come back this evening as we look at the birth of Christ through the Gospel of Luke!
