Word of Grace E-mail Devotion for the week
Philippians 1:3-6, “I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Beloved, a partnership is an arrangement where two or more parties agree to cooperate to advance their mutual interests. It was this partnership, which moved the Apostle Paul to write to the Philippians. God had joined them together for the proclamation of the Gospel.
Beloved, in like manner God has joined us together for the same purpose. As believers, we have a partnership in the Gospel. In order for this partnership to flourish, like any other partnership there needs to be cooperation and active participation.
I am thankful for those who are actively participating in our partnership to proclaim the Gospel to a lost and dying world. I appreciate all you do as you give of your treasure (finances), your time, and your talent. It is through these offerings that our partnership is able to flourish and expand.
For those of you who are not actively participating, I would encourage you to get involved. There is nothing as exciting as actively being involved in the lives of one another. God has gifted you and desires to use those gifts for His glory.
Essentially, I am encouraged that God is not finished with us yet. He is still working is us and through us. I love the promise that the Apostle Paul gives us, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Have a blessed week. I love you and I will be praying for You!
