The Resurrection and The Life!
John 11:25-26, “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
Beloved, this past weekend my wife and I attended a memorial service for a friend up in Temple, TX. He had fought the good fight until the Lord took him home. As I read this morning through the Gospel of John I was reminded of the precious and great promises we have in Christ Jesus. Our friend is indeed with the Lord!
Now, in order to believe and understand these promises we must possess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Hence, when Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life,” He did not say that He knew things about resurrection and life but rather that He WAS the resurrection and the life.
Personal faith in Christ Jesus gives us hope despite the most difficult of circumstances. Beloved, whatever trial you may be facing today, be it relational, financial, medical or a horde of other difficulties, remember that the Resurrection and the Life lives and desires to make His presence known in your time of need.
For Lazarus, it was deemed that Jesus was too late. Lazarus had already died and his sisters had told Jesus, “If only you had been here Lord!” In like manner you may think that it is too late to save your marriage, it’s too late to save your relationship with Lord or with another brother or sister. All of that is not true.
The enemy wants us to believe that it is too late but with Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life, it is never too late. Beloved, don’t give up, just give it to Jesus! Do you believe this?
I pray that you will have a blessed week! I love you and I will be praying for you!

In Him,
Pastor Joe

Beloved, we are soon to once again celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the human Son of man and the divine Son of God. He is one hundred percent human and one hundred percent God.

While there were many people instrumental in the birth of Christ, this morning we will look at His birth through the eyes of Joseph, His legal father. There is not too much known about the man who would care for Christ as He grew up. We know that Joseph was possibly a carpenter but most importantly we know that he was a righteous man who did the right thing.

When others would have ran away from a responsibility that was not even their own, Joseph stood steadfast and remained faithful to the end. We can learn much from his character and apply his attributes of faithfulness, purity, and perseverance to our own lives.

May you have a Blessed Christmas week and may Christ always be at the center of your lives!

P.S. Come back this evening as we look at the birth of Christ through the Gospel of Luke!
