His Promise Leviticus 26:9, “I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you." NIV
Beloved, throughout Scripture we find promises made by God to His people. Here in Leviticus 26:9 we have one such conditional promise made to the Israelites, “I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you.” The condition is found in Leviticus 26:3a, “If you walk in my statues and keep my commandments, and perform them…” Hence, if Israel followed the Lord, the Lord would bestow His blessings upon them.
Beloved, the Lord loves to bless His people. While we are not the Israelites, we are His people and His desire is still to bless us! He desires to look on us with favor (grace) and He has done that through our Savior Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
The Lord has also made us fruitful and increased our numbers as Acts 2:47 says, “Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” And, may I add, the Lord continues to add to His church!
Finally, He will keep His covenant to us as Philippians 1:6 says, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” In other words, what He has started, He will finish!
Beloved may the Lord look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and keep His covenant with you!
I pray that you will have a blessed week! I love you and I will be praying for you!

Beloved, we are soon to once again celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the human Son of man and the divine Son of God. He is one hundred percent human and one hundred percent God.

While there were many people instrumental in the birth of Christ, this morning we will look at His birth through the eyes of Joseph, His legal father. There is not too much known about the man who would care for Christ as He grew up. We know that Joseph was possibly a carpenter but most importantly we know that he was a righteous man who did the right thing.

When others would have ran away from a responsibility that was not even their own, Joseph stood steadfast and remained faithful to the end. We can learn much from his character and apply his attributes of faithfulness, purity, and perseverance to our own lives.

May you have a Blessed Christmas week and may Christ always be at the center of your lives!

P.S. Come back this evening as we look at the birth of Christ through the Gospel of Luke!
