Call Unto Him
Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” NIV
Beloved, the prophet Jeremiah was marked out by the Lord to bring news of impending judgment to Judah. They were being judged for their disobedience unto the Lord. For 490 years they had ignored the Lord’s directive to keep the land fallow every seventh year. They had ventured into idolatry and rejected the Lord and His Word. Any yet, in His grace, The Lord offered hope.
He beckoned them, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” God had invited Jeremiah and all who heard to come to Him in faith-filled prayer, confident of His answer. This promise is remarkable considering the circumstances: enduring the terror of a siege and the soon fulfillment of promised judgment. As the judgment was at the door, God spoke a word of hope and invitation and faith to Jeremiah and Jerusalem.
Beloved, maybe you stand distant from the Lord wondering if He will hear you. Maybe you stand in the muck of sinfulness pondering if the God of heaven still loves you. Beloved, call unto Him and He will answer you and show you unsearchable things!
He will show you things beyond the grasp of human knowledge. His heart is still towards His redeemed. He still loves us despite us and desires to continue to amaze us with His grace, mercy and unsearchable riches.
Our lives may be besieged by burdens beyond our ability. What should we do? We should call unto Him. Our lives may be racked with pain and physical illness. What should we do? We should call unto Him. Our lives may be in the muck, having run away from the Lord. What should we do? We should call unto Him!
Beloved, may we call unto the Lord in our time of need and in our time of plenty. He will answer us!
I pray that you will have a blessed week and that you will seek the Lord! I love you and I will be praying for you!

Not Appointed to Wrath
1 Thessalonians 5:9, “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” NIV
Beloved, we had been appointed to wrath. First, because of Adam’s sin we were appointed to wrath. Everyone was! Then, secondly, because of our own sin we were appointed to wrath. We were all headed on a one-way highway to hell. Bummer.
But God had a different plan for us. We did not have to remain on the highway to hell. Hence, when we repented of our sin and placed our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we were saved. Saved from the wrath of God. Saved from the wrath that we had earned as a sinner and saved eternally!
Henceforth we have an appointment with heaven, and it is an appointment that every believer will make! Fortunately, God does not punish the Saint with the sinner. He always removes His own before His wrath comes down. He did this with Noah and with Lot and He will do this with us.
When Jesus returns for His church, it will be before the Tribulation because, “God did not appoint us to suffer wrath!” But He did appoint us, “to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ!” I look forward to the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but in the mean time I rest in the finished work of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
He has not appointed us to wrath. We are on His side!
I pray that you will have a blessed week! I love you and I will be praying for you! Look up Beloved! Your redemption draws near!
