Purpose & Vision

The motivation in developing School of Ministry is to equip and prepare the church to serve Christ. Therefore, it is the purpose of Grace Calvary Chapel School of Ministry to raise up apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the equipping of the saints in the work of ministry and for edifying the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13 ). We understand that God has purposed unique callings on every committed believer, which is why the School of Ministry is purposed not just for those in full-time ministry, but also for the congregation in delivering a college-level understanding of God’s Word. Because it is our vision to know the Lord Jesus Christ and make Him known in our church, in our city, and in our world, we desire to see our students deepened in discipleship, established as interns in ministry, or developed for full time ministry. As Jesus commanded His disciples in Matthew 28:18-19 to go out and “make disciples of all the nations” and to teach others to “observe all things that [He] commanded [them]”, we also desire to pursue this commandment by equipping other devoted disciples to teach and disciple biblically. We expect that the School of Ministry will be a place where the Word of God will be thoroughly studied to counsel the believer towards God’s special calling on his/her life for ministry.
