ABOUT THE GRACE CALVARY CHAPEL SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
Thank you for your interest in Grace Calvary Chapel's School of Ministry. Your desire to grow in your relationship with Jesus and to be used for the advancement of His kingdom is a blessing. GCC-SOM exists to disciple, train, and equip people to live a life of service and ministry, and to pursue the Kingdom of God in every area of life. We believe all of life is ministry in and outside of the classroom. We seek to come alongside the students in their pursuit of God's call on their lives.
How can We Equip Servants?
Totally committed to Christ-John 21:17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Until this question is settled we are not ready for true service. Our hope is to see each student totally committed and abandoned to Jesus Christ, loving Him with all their heart.
Knowing His Word to Equip you- 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work." We purpose to give you the whole counsel of God, from Genesis to Revelation, which is sufficient to equip you.
Deny Self & Serve Others-Luke 9:23 “Then he said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me’.” Our Lord came not to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for us all. We pray you will receive “the manifold grace of God” in order to develop the humble heart of a servant and be strengthened “to bear much fruit, adorning the doctrine of God our Savior” in every respect. Mark 10:45 "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Holy Spirit Filled & becoming more Like Christ- Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts." We expect you will be conformed more into the image of Jesus Christ and endowed for ministry by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. 1 John 3:2: “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” And if God is working to this end, it is no wonder He calls us to cooperate with Him. “Follow me,” He says. “Imitate me.” God’s purpose is to make each of us like Christ, and God’s way is to fill us with His Holy Spirit.
While we all understand the urgent nature of the times we live in, it is that sense of urgency matched with a willingness to say like Isaiah did, “Here am I, LORD, send me.” If that desire has been placed in your heart then Grace Calvary Chapel School of Ministry is for you. May God richly bless you as you seek His face and His will for your life and may you be fully equipped for every good work that He has beforehand prepared for you to walk in.
